Winterfest & Snow Sculpting Kick-Off Hour
Start the Winterfest celebration gathered around the fire! Soak in the warmth of a Come Alive Outside campfire, enjoy s’mores and hot drinks, meet the snow sculptors behind the magic, and ease into the event with good people, good vibes, and that just-lit-the-fire feeling.
Campfire Stories with The Paper Poet
Gather around the fire for inspiration and then retreat to an indoor space for a creative writing workshop led by Bianca Amira Zanella. Warm drinks, gentle prompts, and space to write, listen, and share. No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play with words.
West Rutland Ice Fest: Glow & Gather
Join us Friday evening for Glow & Gather, where the day’s freshly carved sculptures are illuminated throughout town and the festival shifts into a cozy, high-energy winter celebration at The Carving Studio & Sculpting Center.

Chili Cook-Off
Taste a variety of chili recipes and vote for your favorite in this community competition. Enjoy delicious food and warm up while celebrating Winterfest. Chili tasting is free and open to the public!

Come hang out and play L.L.Bean Boot Cornhole, try snowshoe and crampon demonstrations with Come Alive Outside, and learn about their new Gear Library. Plus, Giant Jenga and other games will be on hand for all-ages winter fun.

Dive into a life-sized version of foosball with tournaments for all age groups. The schedule includes Kids Free Play, a Free Teen Tournament, and an Adult Team Tournament. Grab your teammates and join the fun for an unforgettable, action-packed experience!
Great Bigfoot Chase + Lunch at the Library
Join a town-wide scavenger hunt to track down Bigfoot, starting at the library and exploring various downtown locations. Solve clues, enjoy snacks, and watch for sightings of the elusive cryptid. Wrap up your adventure by meeting Bigfoot himself back at the library!

Evening Adult Snowshoe Hike
Enjoy a guided snowshoe hike followed by light refreshments and a drink ticket at the club. This scenic winter experience is a great way to connect with nature and unwind. RSVP is required to reserve your spot.

Explore cultural diversity through food tastings, performances, and artisan displays at the Farmers Market. Sample a variety of locally produced goods with global inspiration. Celebrate Vermont’s rich cultural heritage without leaving town!

Kissing Booth with BIGFOOT
Just in time for Valentine's Day and Rutland Winterfest, come to our kissing booth and fall in love! The therapy dogs of Bark For Life of Rutland County will be taking over Rutland Appliances on Friday, 2/14 from 3 to 5:PM and then they will bring their sloppy wet, doggy kisses to Depot Park on Sunday 2/16 from 11 to 1 for Winterfest along side the Chili Cookoff and the Ice Sculptures! Proceeds will benefit Bark For Life of Rutland County. Hot Cocoa and light refreshments will also be available.

This event offers Free class for all New Students on 2/14/2025, Valentines Day. 3 classes on 2/14 . All suitable for beginners, and all fitness levels! 6AM, 9AM, and 11AM.
